The Father Of A Drunk Driving Victim Posted This Shocking Video From The Hospital

While we lose ourselves into the daily routines of life, we seem to neglect and forget simple rules, which can be very vital for us and those we live with. In this case, a person decided to drive a car while being drunk.

What may seem like a trivial offense to some people, can turn out to be a fatal accident. After all, a car is not just a mean of transport, but also a heavy piece of machinery, which can travel faster than any terrestrial animal. One can imagine how much force a machine like this can develop.

Consequently, it is important that such a machine is steered by a driver, who is not only physically, but also mentally present. What can happen if this is not the case, is shown by this father in the video below.

It is a powerful video, which went viral, reminding us on a simple rule: DON’T DRINK & DRIVE!

John Seaman’s 20-year-old daughter was hit by a car in May 2012. She fought more than a year in order to recover from her injuries, but sadly she died. John points out that the driver could only receive a maximum 10 years in jail for his decision.
What is your opinion about drinking and driving? Is a 10 year sentence a suitable punishment? Can an autopilot be the solution in the future? Leave a comment below!

Come on (people who decide the punishment), at least make the criminal pay for the hospital bills. >;(

Should just wipe the hospital bills off (whatever cant be paid by the driver) that is so sad. This family already lost their daughter. They shouldnt have to pay for that driver’s stupidity.

Another problem for victims in the US is the cost of medical care, this wouldn’t happen in the UK or Australia. This is so sad and the punishment certainly doesn’t fit the crime..

      This happens alot in UK

Give the death penalty for every DUI related death and see those rates drop to zero. When common sense and compassion lack, law should take over to protect the innocent.

Thank you for reaching out with love and concern for others during your Incredible; unimaginable suffering to help others avoid this. Christ incarnate though you. Thank you. I am praying for all concerned. May your daughter rest in peace. God bless you and your family.
